Contractor Verification and Surveillance Checklist
by Wayne Clarke, from the Community
This Contractor Verification and Surveillance Checklist helps teams assess contractor compliance across key areas of work: WHS, Environmental, Quality, and Traffic Control. Use it to confirm risk assessments and site inductions, availability of SWMS and SDS, PPE compliance, first aid readiness, housekeeping and equipment tagging. Track environmental controls including erosion and sediment measures, waste, fuel and chemical storage, spill kits, and incident reporting. Verify quality processes such as ITPs, hold points, nonconformance handling, calibration, and lot numbering. Review traffic control requirements including TCPs, VMPs, inspections, signage, and ROL documentation before sign-off.
