Compressed Gas Cylinder and Fire Fighting Checklist
by Federico Ceccherini, from the Community
Use this weekly inspection checklist to ensure safe storage and handling of compressed gas cylinders on site. Verify upright, secured storage; separation of oxygen and fuel gases by at least 20 feet; clear labeling and posted gas names; valve caps and closures; unobstructed egress; corrosion and damage checks; proper transport by hand truck; integrity of regulators, hoses, and relief valves; and approved leak detection. Include procedures for unserviceable cylinders and appropriate hazard signage. Support fire safety readiness and compliance across construction and maintenance operations.
