Billboard Structure Inspection Checklist AOA 4.1
by Dean Martell, from the Community
This AOA Billboard Structure Inspection 4.1 checklist helps inspectors evaluate billboard structures across monopole, I beam, wood pole, A frame, and wall mounted styles. It covers foundation and footing conditions, anchor bolts, plates, gussets, weld integrity, and signs of corrosion. Inspect column splices, plate to plate bolted splices, head plate connections, and torsion pipe condition. Verify uprights, outriggers, angle iron, bolts, and weld quality. Assess access ladders, catwalks, safety cables, and overall structural alignment. Review electrical service, fixtures, lighting, time clocks, painting needs, and signage apron condition. Capture photos, record hazards, add comments, and sign off to document safety and maintenance actions.
