Lone Worker Risk Assessment Checklist (5.06.1)
by Jeremy Broad, from the Community
Use this working alone risk assessment to plan and control lone work. The checklist helps identify hazards, confirm mobile phone availability, set check-in intervals, and define how to raise an alarm in an emergency. Assess remote work risks, vehicle breakdown scenarios, and communication coverage. Review high risk activities such as working at heights, with electricity, mobile plant, or demolition, and document controls. Consider fatigue, client aggression, environmental exposure, animal hazards, training, judgment, and pre-existing medical conditions. Record reviewers and manager notifications.
