Conduct thorough daily traffic and safety audits for construction work zones with this checklist. Document project details, schedules, night operations, and traffic control plans. Review signage, tapers, channelizing devices, lighting, pedestrian access, and road conditions across advance warning, transition, activity, and termination areas. Verify PPE and high visibility apparel, flagger methods, pilot car or signal control, and law enforcement coordination. Capture photos, site conditions, weather, and incidents, record hazards and actions, and complete analysis and sign off for compliance with MUTCD guidance.
