Wellington Station Cleaning Audit Checklist
by Mitchell Davis, from the Community
This Wellington Station Cleaning audit checklist supports Greater Wellington Regional Council’s cleaning standards for the rail station. It covers Schedule C (platforms 1–9 and concourse ends) and Schedule D (public toilets). Tasks include daily sweeping, rubbish removal, glass and seat cleaning; weekly hosing of platforms and portal frames using DC safety guidelines; periodic column cleaning; and monthly wall and surface cleaning. Public toilets are serviced 7 days a week with an attendant during opening hours, replenishment of supplies, and regular hygiene checks. Guidance includes monitoring behavior, reporting damage, and escalating incidents to NZ Police when required.
