Quarterly Flatbed Trailer Inspection Checklist
by Shayne Dinkle, from the Community
Use this quarterly flatbed trailer inspection checklist to verify trailer deck, tires, wheels and lug nuts, mud flaps, frame and welds, suspension air bags, lights and reflectors, tie-down winches, king pin, glad hands, and landing gear. Confirm DOT inspection placard status, capture photos of all sides with the trailer number visible, and record who was notified when issues are found. Tag unsafe trailers out of service and keep maintenance and compliance records up to date.
