Wharf Inspection Checksheet for General Cargo Berths
by Port Services, from the Community
A practical port services checklist for inspecting general cargo berths. Capture vessel and berth details, then complete daily checks for lines areas, water supply, garbage bins, loose materials, clear walkways, vehicle parking, load limits, and post departure cleaning. Confirm environmental controls including removal of bulk product, clear areas around bollards, no oil leaks, clean hoppers and diggers, and a completed wharf sweep. Record photos, hazards, outlet cover status, and Hi Viz bin pickup. Fortnightly, verify permanent signage, fixed lighting, safety markings, bollard condition, note significant hazards, assess overall wharf condition, and assign further actions.
