Monthly Warehouse Racking Inspection Checklist
by Stephen Midgley, from the Community
This monthly warehouse racking inspection checklist helps teams assess storage rack integrity and safety. Inspect uprights, beams, locking pins and clips, anchors and floorplates, and verify vertical alignment. Check the condition of upright guards and spacers, confirm safe working load signage is clearly displayed, and note any layout alterations that may affect capacity. Record locations, capture photo evidence of issues, and remove stored items from damaged areas until repairs are completed by a competent person. Use this template to document findings, assign follow-ups, and maintain a consistent audit trail for warehouse safety and compliance.
