Use this monthly checklist to inspect life-saving appliances and firefighting equipment on maritime vessels. Verify AED pads and batteries, trauma and resus bags, oxygen and DAN kits, and medical supplies. Check navigation and communications systems including radar, AIS, VHF, MMSI, EPIRB, SART and night watch tools. Inspect life rings, life rafts and HRU rigging, SOLAS life jackets and signage. Review SOPEP gear, hull breach kit, bilge pumps and alarms. Test emergency lighting, escape routes, CCTV and detectors across cabins, corridors, galley, lounges, engine room and crew areas. Track expiry and service dates to maintain SOLAS compliance.
