Use this leader observation checklist to assess rail worksite safety and compliance. Verify pre-work briefs (PWB), worksite protection plans (WPP), and diary logs are completed correctly. Review communication protocols within the crew and check for ARTC fatal and severe risks, including rail traffic collisions, struck-by incidents, mobile plant, electricity, hazardous chemicals, cranes and lifting, manual handling, and working at heights. Capture observations on life saving behaviors and contractor management to identify hazards and confirm that effective controls are in place.
