Forklift Operations Task Inspection Checklist
by Cassandra Cook, from the Community
This forklift operations task inspection checklist helps teams verify operator licensing (LF), SWMS sign-on, pre-start inspections, and maintenance records. It covers safety devices including flashing lights, reverse alarms, horn, seatbelts, and Falling Object Protection (FOPS). It guides safe load handling with displayed working load limits (WLL), correct mast positioning and tilt, even load distribution, and keeping loads near ground height while traveling. It promotes safe speeds, pedestrian and vehicle separation, use of spotters in congested areas, and proper parking with forks grounded, park brake applied, and keys removed. Includes a corrective actions section to assign actions, owners, and due dates.
