Use this weekly checklist to inspect forklifts and telehandlers for safe operation. Capture make and model, serial number and LOLER expiry, site and week details. Check forks and attachments, carriage plate, load guard, mesh and rollers, lifting chains and pulleys, hydraulics, wheels and tyres, exterior condition, oil and coolant levels, controls, rating plate, seat and restraints. Verify engine running, warning indicators, lights and beacons, audible devices, hydraulic functions, drive and brakes. Record defects, notify the site manager, and complete daily and weekly signoffs.
