Use this weekly inspection template to verify the readiness and safety of a forest fire response vehicle. Check overall condition and cleanliness, inspect belts, hoses, tires, rims and lugnuts, and confirm tire pressure. Review fluids including engine oil, transmission, power steering, coolant, and battery health, and ensure the water tank is full. Validate cab controls, gauges, warning lights, horn, wipers, mirrors, and interior lighting. Test headlights, running and brake lights, directionals, spot and floor lights, and siren. Confirm fire and medical equipment status including pump and oil, primer, generator, chain saw, EMS bag, and winch. Inspect chassis, suspension, steering, fuel tank, brakes, exhaust, and drive train to maintain readiness.
