Flight Airfield Obstructions Checklist
by 167th Wing Safety Office, from the Community
This Flight Airfield Obstructions checklist helps aviation teams assess airfields for hazards that could impact flight and ground operations. It covers verifying runways, ramps, and taxiways are free of obstructions; checking approach and departure corridors; confirming proper marking and illumination of any obstructions; and ensuring issues are reported via NOTAMs and ASOS. The checklist also guides users to evaluate risk to flight safety and ground operations and includes signature and routing sections for supervisors, commanders, and safety offices. Based on AFI 91-204, this template supports consistent, compliant inspections across airfield environments.
