This depot inspection checklist helps supervisors assess safety, compliance, and housekeeping across depot facilities and yards. It covers traffic and pedestrian segregation, housekeeping standards, inductions, notice boards, COSHH data, visitor logs, fire logbooks, team briefs, and environmental policies. Verify risk assessments and method statements, first aiders and equipment, extinguisher status and fire drills, trip hazards, access and egress, H&S law and insurance displays, lighting, welfare, and DSE assessments. Inspect yard plant and machinery registers, lifting accessories, hazard signage on containers, recycling practices, storage, bays and sprinklers, fuel bunds and fuel points, skips and signage, spill kits and marked drains, potential asbestos, external cabling, workshop cleanliness, safety signs, gates and fences, product labelling, compressed gases, flammables, and manual handling documentation before sign-off.
