Use this weekly checklist to inspect a fire department air unit and SCBA fill station. Verify trailer hitch, safety chains, lights, license, suspension, tires at 50 PSI, and brakes. Check engine oil (15W40), coolant, battery, fuel, doors, air intake and light tower, and dashboard gauges. Inspect air tank storage valves, rotating Scott door, and filling station connections. Run the unit for 20 minutes when weather permits and fill any SCBA bottles as needed to ensure readiness for deployment.
