Description

As per SRM SOP Workplace Inspection, there is a requirement for Department Managers (or their delegates in periods of absence), to ensure that areas where activities are taking place or are planned to take place are inspected for safety of operations. Department Managers (or their delegates in periods of absence), must inspect all areas within their area of responsibility at least every two weeks (including active areas, idle areas and adjacent work areas that may impact on operating areas). This document outlines the steps required for the task and includes the form to be used for reporting. Persons responsible for Work Area Inspections and the frequency: 1. Department Manager - Every 2 weeks 2. Department Superintendents - Every 2 weeks Together with the Supervisor Shift Reports, these Work Area Inspections form an auditable trail which is used to meet Saraji’s SHMS reporting requirements.
