This Visible Felt Leadership shutdown observation checklist helps leaders and HSE representatives conduct structured site walkdowns during planned shutdowns. Record the site, date, department, and permit number, then note positives in work area management and identify opportunities to improve. Capture observer details, select departments such as Safety, Mechanical, Cranes and Rigging, E and I, Bricklayers, Welders, or TICS, and document any noncompliances found. Where applicable, log CCV verification details and the person completing it. Finish with required sign-offs from the HSE representative and observers to close the observation and drive corrective actions.
