Use this Task Assessment JSA checklist to assess any task before starting work. It prompts you to review common hazards (struck-by, caught-in/between, strain, slips, trips, falls), impacts to people and environment, equipment damage risks, and site conditions. Verify energy isolation and lockout, machine guarding and interlocks, worker competency and training, and tool condition. Record risks and controls; if risk is moderate or higher, complete a full JSA.
