JCB Telehandler Training and Safety Checklist
by Peter Crossingham, from the Community
This practical checklist supports safe and competent operation of a JCB telehandler in a factory setting. It guides on-the-job training and assessment, daily pre-start inspections, fault reporting, and understanding of vehicle dimensions and controls. It covers site rules and inductions, toolbox talks, speed limits, pedestrian awareness, exclusion zones, and working in adverse weather. Operational tasks include shoring aggregates, filling bins and skips, safe reversing and maneuvering, cleaning aisles and pits, and proper isolation and cleaning of the machine. The form concludes with assessor evaluations and required signatures for competency confirmation.
