Sports Equipment Component Compatibility Verification
by Brandon Van Niekerk, from the Community
This checklist helps inspectors and riggers verify the compatibility of sports equipment components before use. Record key details such as equipment owner, rig type and serial, container make and model, and capture a photo of the assembly and reserve card. Confirm reserve make, size and serial and ensure both reserve and main are within the manufacturer’s recommended size ranges. Document deployment and handle types, then complete critical inspections including BOC and bridle security, flap tension, and closing loop integrity. Conclude with a verification statement and signature to confirm the system’s components are compatible.
