This practical checklist supports Safety Representatives and Chargehands to carry out structured health and safety tours in manufacturing workshops and yards. Verify fire safety controls, emergency lighting, signage, and first aid provisions. Check machinery guards, press brake setup and sign off, welding fume extraction, ladder and scaffold tags, and forklift and side loader pre use checks. Assess housekeeping, cable and gas cylinder management, waste and recycling, lighting, and racking condition. Review PPE use and signage, toolbox talks, permit to work compliance, and that staff know how to report accidents, near misses, equipment damage, environmental and fire incidents.
