Respiratory Protection Checklist (OSHA 1910.134)
by Colton Page, from the Community
This respiratory protection checklist helps EHS teams evaluate and maintain a compliant program aligned with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134. Verify respirator selection and NIOSH certification; ensure appropriate equipment for IDLH atmospheres; confirm proper storage and routine/emergency inspections; manage repairs per manufacturer guidance; assess breathing air quality (oxygen, contaminants, compressor standards, incompatible couplings); label filters and cartridges; conduct fit testing and user seal checks; enforce cleaning procedures; and deliver annual training. Use it to document results and corrective actions.
