QC Inspection Report for Steel Fabrication
by Elina Esmaeelnad, from the Community
Use this QC Inspection Report template to standardize daily quality checks in a steel fabrication shop. Audit inspection test plans across girder build, dress, progressive assembly, and sub-component areas. Verify production logs including camber, NDT and heat tracking, stud, bearing flatness, splice, hardness, and wheel-abrator records. Review paint plant forms and maintenance, and confirm operators follow drawings and cutlists for equipment such as Koike, Gemini, Victory, Python, angle line, saw, and mill. Capture issues with photos, record root causes, update PlanGrid, document layouts and risks, confirm welding parameters, and sign off inspections for management visibility.
