This press audit checklist helps manufacturing teams assess the condition and organization of press work areas using 5S principles. Verify that only required equipment, tools, furniture, and materials are present, and that tripping hazards are removed. Confirm clear identification and proper placement of machinery, tool storage, containers, and PPE zones. Check visibility and access to stop switches, breakers, and fire suppression equipment; mark aisles, forklift lanes, walkways, and exits; and verify ergonomic setups. Evaluate cleanliness of tools, equipment, work surfaces, floors, and signage, and ensure cleaning schedules and storage are in place. Review standardization, maintenance records, waste controls, environmental conditions, and posting of previous audit results. Confirm management participation, weekly 5S duties, and continuous improvement. Capture photos, notes, actions, and signatures to close out issues.
