Plastic Packer Preventive Maintenance Checklist
by Stephen Hoey, from the Community
This Plastic Packer preventive maintenance inspection template is designed for packing plants to standardize PM checks across multiple spouts and related systems. It covers visual inspection of valves, pipework, cables, comms blocks, and exhaust filters; alignment of bottles within spouts; condition and security of extraction pipework; bogie and wheel security and adjustment; bolts, cams, counter wheels and sensor gaps; pinions, toothed belts, and clamps; and verification of positional sensors. Sections also include bag manufacture and bag take-off, with prompts to add media, record actions, and classify issues by urgency. Use this template to capture defects, plan work requests, and keep packaging equipment safe and reliable.
