Paint Shop Shutdown Checklist (Before)

Use this before-shutdown checklist to safely secure a paint shop. Verify all electrical and air systems are off in offices, spray booths, ovens, mixing rooms, sanding booths, filler and touch-up areas. Check 5S housekeeping, remove chemicals from cabinets, and record evidence with photos. Confirm TVs, fans, and water dispensers are off, and log team lead, supervisor, and HOS reviews.

Use this after-shutdown checklist to ready a paint shop for restart. Verify electrical and air systems in the spray booth and oven; check 5S and cleanliness in the mixing room, sanding booth, filler area, and touch-up area; confirm the water break test station as applicable. Inspect displays and dashboard TVs, fans, and the water dispenser. Capture photo evidence for each item and record checks by the team leader, supervisor verification, and head of section review.
