Use the checklist to verify sprinklers and suppression are available, confirm equipment is in good repair, clear or shield combustibles within a 35 ft radius, seal openings, and control ventilation that could carry sparks. Capture requirements for work on walls, ceilings, and enclosed equipment, including purging containers and verifying noncombustible construction. Assign and brief a trained fire watch, disable affected detectors as required, and specify monitoring for at least 30 minutes after work with hourly checks for up to 6 hours.
