This Atlas Tube crane pre-shift inspection checklist helps operators confirm readiness and safety before using an overhead crane. It guides users to record site, date, preparer, and equipment inspected, then verify operator training and understanding. Checks include pendant and wiring, power supply or remote battery, emergency stop, hoist, trolley, and bridge movements, and upper and lower limit switch function. Inspect hook and latch, block and drum cable wrap, and structural welds. Validate warning devices and capacity labels, confirm presence and expiry of fire extinguisher, and test hoist, trolley, and bridge brakes. Note any oil or fluid leaks, unusual sounds, and housekeeping issues. Assess slings and attachments, including nylon slings, safety latches, forks and hooks, and capacity labeling. Capture additional comments and follow-up actions before operation.
