Use this trail check audit to verify ski area readiness before opening. Record weather, wind, surface conditions, and visibility. Inspect red zone areas across Happy Valley, Rock Garden, Express, Valley, Knoll, Amphitheatre, West Ridge, and Far West. Confirm physical and visual barriers, signage and slow zones, snowmaking hazards, ski area boundary markers, and waterfall hole controls. Check tower pads, hazard polishing, and trail markers, then complete daily chalet or dispatch check and sign-off.

Turoa Safety Services Trail Check Audit
Conduct comprehensive trail safety checks across the Turoa ski area before opening. This audit guides teams to record weather, wind, visibility, and surface conditions, then verify critical red zones from base to upper mountain. Inspect barriers, slow signage, fences, pads, cornices, cliffs, and collision zones. Confirm controls around snowmaking ponds, reservoirs, culverts, transformers, huts, and lift areas per the site atlas. Check ski area boundary signage, mark waterfall holes and tomos with wands or rope and boo fencing, and ensure tower pads and trail markers are correctly placed. Complete chalet and dispatch daily checklists and document sign off by auditors with general comments and media.
