Residential Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Report
by Gas Safe, from the Community
This template helps engineers and property managers inspect and document smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in residential properties. Record detector locations across rooms such as hallway, landing, living room, bedrooms, kitchen, garage, and roof space. Capture detector type battery, hard wired, or with battery backup, confirm operation using the test button, note battery replacements and expiry dates, and attach photos. Includes sections for carbon monoxide detectors, quantities of new or replacement alarms installed, and total batteries replaced. Contains important guidance that centrally controlled mains powered alarms are not tested and should be checked by a qualified person in line with BS 5839, plus signature and date fields.
