Use this assembly safety checklist to prepare venues for assemblies or conventions. It guides overseers and volunteers through a full site audit at least one day before the event and a final compliance check. Review evacuation procedures, exit signage, restricted areas, and fire safety. Verify electrical setup, cables, generators, and equipment. Confirm stage construction, seating layout, clear aisles, and unobstructed exits. Cover parking and traffic management, high visibility gear, and access for emergency services. Check cleaning tools and chemicals, protective equipment, waste bins, and water access. Assess first aid supplies, log book, disposal, and access to emergency exits. Assign actions with owners, track completion, and document compliance.
