Wastewater Treatment Plant H&S Audit Checklist
by Tina Albert, from the Community
This Health and Safety audit checklist helps wastewater treatment plant teams assess compliance and site readiness across offices, main plant areas, and pumping stations. It guides checks for fire extinguishers, first aid kits, eyewash stations, emergency lighting, PPE, spill kits, ladders, battery storage, and site security. It also covers confined space and fall protection equipment, generator and MCC rooms, UV and clarifier areas, and documentation such as JHSC materials, WSIB Reg. 1101, emergency preparedness plans, and workplace policies. Use it to identify hazards, verify maintenance and housekeeping, and ensure workers are trained and emergency-ready.
