Cased Hole Wireline Field Safety Audit Checklist
by Rob Crewe, from the Community
This field safety audit checklist supports cased hole wireline operations in oil and gas. It covers logging unit exterior and cab readiness, pre-trip documentation, safety equipment, and hoisting certifications. The tool lists recording cab requirements, MSDS and safety manuals, hoisting tools, and thread protection. Radiation controls include TLD badges, ALARA practices, exposure limits, warning signs, survey meters, and handling procedures. Explosives and perforating checks address meetings, signage, detonator tubes, stray voltage, radios, and magazines. Pressure control items include certificates, valves, gauges, pack-off components, wellhead integrity, grease supply, cleanliness, and thread protection. Crew PPE and documentation, pickup truck readiness, and crane inspections are also included, with space for auditor comments and signature.
