Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC)
by Lazaro Santos, from the Community
Use this SPCC checklist to document compliance with EPA Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure requirements. Inspect oil-containing drums, hydraulic elevators, emergency generator day tanks, and above-ground storage tanks for leaks, corrosion, bulging, and paint failures. Verify spill kits, secondary containment, drain valves, piping, fittings, and valves are in good condition with no evidence of release or debris. Record findings and corrective actions to support audits and prevent environmental incidents.
