Ranger Catchment Surveillance Checklist
by Catchment Operations, from the Community
This ranger catchment surveillance checklist supports water utility teams in monitoring dams, drains, bore stations, and surrounding lands. Inspect key locations such as Grahamstown Dam, Tomago and Tomaree Sandbeds, Seaham Weir, and designated drain and highway discharge points. Record work order numbers, weather, and note breaks in fencing, missing or damaged signage, signs of unauthorised activity, pollution or dumping, visible erosion, bank vegetation changes, invasive species, and clearing needs. Document coordinates for issues found and add general comments to support follow-up actions and maintenance planning. Ideal for scheduled patrols or exception reporting across catchment assets and waterways.
