Use this pole and overhead line inspection checklist to evaluate utility poles and associated equipment. Verify pole integrity, removal of double wood, condition of crossarms and braces, insulators, conductors, jumpers, guying, anchors, guards, and grounds. Check primary risers, transformers for leaks, switches or cutouts, lightning protection, arresters, expulsion caps, and reclosers with counter readings. Confirm right-of-way clearance and secondary or service connections. Note test year, access for bucket trucks or climbing, and log issues to plan safe, efficient repairs.
