Use this SGN health and safety checklist to assess petrol station forecourts, shop areas and LPG compounds. Items include lighting, emergency cut off, vapour recovery, fill points, vent stacks and signage; shop access, fire exits, extinguishers, drills, electrical safety and housekeeping; work equipment such as PPE, ladders and spill control; and documentation including petroleum storage certificates, vapour recovery maintenance and fault logs, PAT and electrical tests, asbestos register, LPG inspection, first aid, and insurance.
