GSH Monthly Generator Test and Inspection
by Roberto Mengozzi, from the Community
This monthly generator test and inspection checklist guides technicians through running the unit for at least 40 minutes and verifying safe operation. Record start and end times, total runtime, fuel and hour readings, and electrical outputs (volts, amps, hertz). Confirm ATS transfer to generator and back to normal power. Inspect for leaks, check oil and coolant levels, belt condition, battery terminals, water temperature, and oil pressure. Use this to maintain reliability and emergency power readiness.
