by Hussain Kais, from the Community
Use this genset maintenance and inspection checklist to assess generator sets for safe, reliable operation. Record site details and running hours, check oil level and condition, fuel filters and day tank, coolant level and thermostat, belts, battery electrolyte and charging, alternator and regulator readings, safety shutdown devices, and control panels. Inspect exhaust for leaks, shutter performance, and overall appearance. Run the generator under load to verify voltage and frequency, clean and tighten electrical connections, and document photos and findings.
