Environmental Site Inspection Checklist (Bulk Waste)
by Shannon Dwyer, from the Community
This Environmental Site Inspection checklist helps Gippsland Water teams assess bulk waste assets for environmental compliance and operational risks. It covers incident reporting and EPA notifications, required site documents and records, preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, and routine water quality sampling. Visual checks include noise, odour, dust or emissions, spill kits and bunding, leaks, wastewater discharge, recycling and waste, erosion, vegetation and cultural heritage protection, site security, and noxious weeds. It also verifies monitoring, extraction and discharge points, and contractor management, including inductions, risk assessments, and controls.
