Lime and Cement Tanker Transfer and Pumping Inspection
by Henno Ferreira, from the Community
This workplace inspection checklist supports safe lime and cement tanker transfer and pumping in civil construction environments. It covers verification of SWMS/PRA and daily JobSTART, tanker and compressor pre-starts, current ISO tanker certification, and visible warning signage. Inspect hose and fitting condition, whip-checks, and use of safety bump locks on camlocks. Confirm correct PPE, secure hose positioning, dust suppression via filter socks, and compliant waste disposal. Ensure couplings are crimp-clamped and that pressurized tankers are vented if unattended.
