This site safety audit checklist helps managers and supervisors conduct structured safety walkarounds on active construction sites. Use it to review housekeeping, walkways, work surfaces, guardrails, openings, impalement hazards, and material storage. Verify PPE compliance, fall protection, ladders and scaffolds, tool condition and guarding, and crew competency. Assess excavations for competent person oversight, safe access and egress, shoring or shielding, barricades, and spoil placement. Check electrical safety, fire prevention measures, and personnel behavior and communication. Record comments, add corrective actions, and capture sign offs from the inspector and site supervisor.
