Western National Construction Jobsite Safety Audit
by Jennifer Kavanagh, from the Community
This construction jobsite safety audit checklist helps supervisors and safety teams evaluate compliance and reduce risk across active sites. It covers PPE usage, fall protection setup and competent persons, scaffolding and ladder practices, electrical safety and GFCI, and operation of forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes. The audit also reviews signage, public safeguards, emergency contacts, first aid kits, housekeeping, subcontractor forms, site orientations, SDS availability, toolbox talks, fire extinguishers, overhead power line clearance, trench barricading, and material handling. Capture at-risk conditions, document violations or removals, attach photos, and drive corrective actions to meet OSHA and company standards.
