Verify fixed scaffolding is erected and monitored by competent CISRS-trained personnel. Check access, foundations, base and sole plates, ties and bracing, load-bearing fittings, full boarding, guardrails and toe boards. Confirm weather readiness, barriers for incomplete sections, and even load distribution. Record weekly inspections after adverse weather, note defects rectified, and ensure risk assessment, permit to work, PPE, and falling-object controls are in place.

Scaffolding Safety Inspection Checklist
This scaffolding safety inspection checklist helps verify that a newly installed scaffold is safe for use. Capture general details, confirm a solid base and correct base plates and sole plates, and check that height and guardrails meet regulatory requirements. Inspect geometry, platforms, and bracing, ensure tubes and fittings are in good condition and properly tightened, and confirm safe access with correctly positioned ladders. Review load capacity, even distribution of materials, and adequate ties. Verify guard rails and toe boards, and ensure a current scaffold tag is displayed and completed. Record issues, add photos, and document recommendations to maintain site safety and compliance.
