Scaffolding is a type of temporary works used on many construction projects to provide safe access to work areas, platforms, upper floors/slabs, roofing, external cladding and elevations, windows, ventilation and other building services. Scaffolding presents a number of risk concerns, ranging from collapse due to incorrect design or erection, to fire damage due to the use of combustible wrap and this course provides an outline of the main risks, associated legislation and guidance on reducing those risks to help avoid loss, damage, injury and delays to building projects.
