Swimming Pool and Spa Safety Barrier Inspection

This inspection checklist helps verify swimming pool and spa safety barriers for installations approved before 8 April 1991. It covers barrier types and construction, doors and windows in barrier walls, pool gates and latches, pool and boundary fencing, retaining walls, and above ground pools. The checklist references AS 1926.1 standards and Part 9A Division 2 of the Building Regulations 2018. Record permit details, council registration, photos, access, and compliance outcomes, including whether to issue Form 23 Certificate of Barrier Compliance or Form 24 Certificate of Non-Compliance and plan reinspections if required.
