by David Kearney, from the Community
Use this comprehensive checklist to assess safety, quality, and environmental controls on construction sites. Verify administrative items such as temporary works designs, RAMS, first aid and toolbox talks. Review site conditions including welfare facilities, pedestrian walkways, exclusion zones, housekeeping, and lighting. Confirm PPE compliance and fall protection, including guardrails, toe boards and proper equipment for working at height. Inspect tools and equipment, PAT testing, fire extinguishers, machine guards, ladders and stepladders. Check waste management, storage of hazardous products, and dust or noise issues. Capture customer feedback, document deficiencies, corrective actions and completion details.
