Crane Site Inspection Checklist

This crane site inspection checklist helps crews verify site readiness and equipment safety before lifting. Record unit, operator, customer, location, and weather. Confirm annual safety and NDT stickers, pre-trip and weekly logbook completion, and that the information package and spill kit are in the cab. Assess crane setup and hoisting with photos, ensure blocking or mats under outriggers, check overhead structures and powerline proximity, and determine if the operator is working blind with a designated signaller. Inspect rigging capacity and condition, note tandem or multi-crane lifts, identify hazards with the customer, and capture waiver sign-off. Include lubrication checks for outriggers and boom, hub oil checks, and auto greaser status. Add notes, recommendations, and signatures.
